Monday, 27 Dec 2004 Join me in my one-year EVERYDAY ART project!

I'm intending to do either a poem or a small--very small, like playingcard size or slightly larger--painting four or five times a week for the next year. I love these little projects that have a beginning, a middle, and an end.Usually, I give them more focus than this one has at the moment, but I might find a focus at some point, and zero in on something. Right now, I just want to get started.

Saturday, 25 Dec 2004 Mary logs her recent experience with breast cancer.

On October first of 2004, as I was massaging a sore muscle from weight-lifting, I had that moment that every woman dreads: I found a lump. From there began a series of visits to doctors, laboratories, X-ray departments, operating rooms, radiation center, and other challenges that amazed me with how alert I had to remain.
