The paintings on this page—all commissions and are therefore no longer available for sale—represent my style. I especially love painting a loved home or cottage, often including its occupants and pets. I have used water-based paints—acrylics, watercolors, and/or gouache—and am about to begin working in oil.

I have been known to exchange original art for a wonderful place to stay! Several times in the past few years I have done exactly that—stayed a few weeks in a vacation home while I either painted it or the view or did enough research to return to work in my studio. One summer I stayed in a wonderful cottage in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, looking south over Lake Michigan, in exchange for the paintings on Lake Effects III and IV, which I did from a window in that house for one week a month over five months. I have stayed often in the wonderful Chautauqua house as well as the Fort Lauderdale condo, all pictured here. All the Beaver Island paintings were commissioned.
